Adaptations such as:

• Fitting a stairlift or a banister on the stairs
• Installing a hoist
• Adding a bath lift, installing a height adjustable bath or a walk-in shower or grab rails you hold to pull yourself out of the bath
• Widening doorways
• Lowering kitchen worktops or installing height adjustable kitchen equipment
• Installing an outdoor ramp, step lift or handrail for assistance whilst climbing steps
• Security, such as outside lights and intercom systems or installing a key safe
• Installing a wet room

Financial assistance for home adaptations can often be available such as a Disabled Facilities Grant(DFG)
